Walk. Trot. Canter. However you do it, let's ride to save our off-road routes! This July, saddle up to protect over 78,000km* of off-road routes that could be lost forever. * The Ramblers, 2023

Early mornings in the saddle. Your time together. The freedom of the countryside. If we lose our off-road routes, we'll lose these days forever. We can't let that happen.
Join hundreds of riders and horses as we ride for the right to enjoy our countryside together. Are you with us? Sign up to Rideathon, ride 25km or more in July and raise funds to:
• Restore damaged route surfaces.
• Help to reopen blocked routes.
• Repair or replace gates and fencing.

We've got you covered! Take your fundraising to the next level and make every kilometre count.

Ride for the right to adventure
The money you raise will help to keep riders off the roads and restore multi-user routes that can be enjoyed by everyone. With hundreds of horse and rider injuries on the road reported to us each year, it is more vital than ever to ensure safe off-road access for equestrians.

Meet Fleur and her horse, Taz
Hi, I’m Fleur and I completed Rideathon last year in memory of my father. I also wanted to give back to the BHS for their support of our project. I am part of the Tamar Trails Riding Association and with the kind grant from the BHS, we were able to transform a disused car park into a smart, safe horse-transport-only car park. The new parking gives equestrians safe access to 25km of stunning multi-use tracks.
Taking part in Rideathon was so enjoyable but a true challenge as well. Where we live in Devon is so hilly, so a huge effort for Taz, my 17-year 16.3 Irish Draught. He is the true star in all of this; he carried me safely to achieve 100 miles, and we raised over £1,000 so the BHS can support more projects like ours!
